Some firsts with Holly Lane

One day after some rain we went on a family outing to the Natural History Museum. It was a fun morning and lovely to get out together.
All the girls (inculding Emma's baby doll) ready for bedtime.
First bath. Seems to love the water just like her big sister.
First Check up! Holly gained one pound the first week! She is up to 7lb!

Holly loves her swing.
Holly and Emma's Great-Grandparents. (my moms parents) They are so dear to us and love the girls.

Cozy time with Daddy.

Well the lack of sleep is defiantly taking its toll on my brain...! Those of you who have had a new babe at home can attest to the unbelievable tiredness you feel after all the nights up feeding. Holly is a good little sleeper however being only 2+ weeks old, still needs to eat every 2-3 hours and this is very tiring. We feel so blessed to have parents who love on us and so many dear friends and family who have brought food and helped out! You are all so sweet and it has been so encouraging! Emma continues to be fascinated by her new baby sister and is constantly saying "shssss baby" to everyone...which must mean she hears it a lot from her mom. She has been sweet with her but looks worried when Holly cry's and wants me to feed her...too cute. We are enjoying time as a family and getting used to life with two sweet girls!

Holly's first week at home

These are from our first week home. We have had such a cozy time... at times Scott and Emma get a bit stir crazy and head out to the park or the store...or just walk around the block collecting fall leaves. Scott and my mom have been such a big help to me. I have been able to rest and just sit and bond with Holly. More to come...

.: Holly Lane DuPar :.

She is here! The lovely Holly made her debut on Monday morning 10-5-09 at 10:57 AM. She was 6lb and 5oz. Total labor time was around 4 hours and both of us came through safely. We are so thankful to the Lord for His protection and strength. Holly is a sweet little babe. She has thus far (I am writing this on Sat night) been sweet and relaxed in temperament and has been sleeping and nursing beautifully. Emma adores her and wants to show everyone her new baby sister. We came home from Cottage on Tuesday night and are settling into life with two little ones around. Scott says he is very out numbered with our girls and the students etc... :) He is a wonderful Dad and really a blessing to me as I continue to recover. Also my mom has been over here which is so great!! So thankful for that lady!!! Anyhow we are so thankful to all of you who have sent sweet notes and congratulations. You are all so dear to us and we are looking forward to you all meeting the newest member of our family.

New York 2009

Scott and I were so excited to get to go to New York City in May for five days! We had such a great time and are so thankful to my parents for watching Emma so we could run around the city and have a bit of grown up time before baby #2 comes this fall. We got a great hotel right in the heart of downtown and got an awesome price and used airline miles to travel! We have always wanted to go and loved every min, we will definitely be going back someday. There is so much to do and see that we felt like we barley scratched the surface. We of course went to a Yankee game at the Yankee Stadium which was a long time dream of Scott. The game was great the Yankee's won in the bottom of the 9th...so fun. We loved the history, the beautiful buildings, culture, shopping, central park...well I could go on and on but I won't bore you all. I would say to anyone who has never been - GO! Its just an amazing city.

New Baby!!

So much has been going on in our little world that I have not updated you all with tummy pictures and an update on our new baby! I am currently 24 weeks and only have 15 to go! Its really coming so fast! Its amazing. Overall I have been so blessed and have not felt sick at all. I am tired but as you parents of multiple kids know you just keep cruising even when you are tired because you have a little one to keep up with! Thankfully she is a great napper so I try and sleep during her nap. These belly shots are mainly for my dear sister Laura who can't see the changes for herself. Its so fun to feel the baby kick, she is quite the mover. Also should note we found out that its a girl!! We are so excited for Emma to have a sister!! Too fun. This picture from the beach is from the day we found out we were having a another girl, we had a nice lunch at the beach with family to celebrate!!
